Local Subway Stations
A/B/C/D subway trains bring you to the 145th Street Station. We are just a few short blocks from the station exit.
The #1 Train is also walkable (10 min.) from Broadway, but not quite as close. For a subway map go to https://new.mta.info/map/5256.
Local Buses
Buses in NYC come often but run slower than the subway system. It’s still a great way to stay above ground and see the city. Buses are especially useful for getting crosstown (East-West).
Closest local Bus Lines include:
M3 - Runs along St. Nicholas Avenue, closest to home
M100 / M101 - Runs along Amsterdam Avenue
See bus map / Manhattan Bus Service for more information https://new.mta.info/map/5391
Taxis / Uber or Lyft
Be sure to use the meter on taxis, or Uber/Lyft apps for payment. New Yorkers tip drivers around 15-20%
Parking
If you are arriving with a car PLEASE NOTE, parking in our neighborhood is tight. We do not offer or guarantee parking.
NYC has an alternate side parking policy for street cleaning days when vehicles must be moved and double parked for 2 ½ morning hours on alternate side of the street.
NOTE: Don't get blocked. Your car may also get parked in by someone else double parking on those days at those hours.
Be sure to read the street cleaning signs before parking.
There is inexpensive overnight parking at the gas station on St. Nicholas at 151st street ($15 for 12 hours). This outdoor lot tends to fill up sometime after 8:00pm, especially on weekends. We advise arriving before 6:00pm. As in any big city, do not leave visible personal items or valuables in your car. If you are arriving late by car, please contact us for other parking ideas.
